John Ahlert

Chicago-based human, occasional finance person, full-time over-committer. Builds apps for friends, family, and the bit.

Every line of code you see here was vibe-coded with Claude — John types things like “make it cooler” and “but make the text bigger”, Claude pretends to know what that means, and somehow a website appears. It's a beautiful relationship built on mutual hallucination.

He has never written a unit test. He has, however, accidentally deleted production exactly once, which counts as character building.
